Rodolphe Le Meunier
Tours-based MOF affineur. Among the most respected French affineurs of his generation.
Rodolphe Le Meunier inherited a family fromagerie in Tours and developed it into both retail and serious affinage operation. Awarded MOF in 2007 (younger than typical for the distinction), Le Meunier is particularly known for goat-cheese affinage in the Loire tradition. His cheeses appear at the best Parisian and international counters — look for "affiné par Rodolphe Le Meunier" on labels. The Tours shop offers the broadest direct retail of his selection; outside France, his cheeses are most likely encountered at affineur-conscious mongers like Formaggio Kitchen, Neal's Yard Dairy, and Murray's.
